Lester R. Howell, Jr., P.E.

Les Howell has extensive experience in operations, sales, quality control, material sourcing, fleet management, leadership, and strategic planning in the construction materials industry. Les previously worked for nearly 26 years at a large ready-mixed concrete and aggregate supplier where he began as Chief Engineer and advanced to become the EVP & COO. Prior to working in the construction materials industry, Les worked in the nuclear power sector for Entergy as a civil engineer.

Les holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Mississippi State University and an MBA from Mississippi College. He has held leadership positions on several association boards, including the Nation Ready-Mixed Concrete Association, Mississippi Concrete Association, American Concrete Institute Mid-South Chapter, Business & Industry Political Education Committee, and the Mississippi State University Construction Materials Regional Consortium. Les has built a broad nationwide professional network through his career and association work. Les is a licensed professional engineer in Mississippi, Arkansas, and Tennessee.
